The Rainbow is Legendary. If you've never been there you must go and check out the cool memorabilia on desplay and you have to try the pizza! it's the best!

Another popular live venue (Guns N Roses, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc...) Opened in 1973, The Roxy is located next to the Rainbox Bar and Grill. We saw Steel Panther play here (then called Metal Skool in 2004). Lori saw Pretty Boy Floyd and Tryx play here in 1989. Upstairs there is a little after-hours hang out called On The Rocks which was home to many famous parties. John Belushi partied here the night he OD'd.

The neighbourhood of Laurel Canyon has been home to L.A.'s top rock musicians and bands, including The Byrds, Frank Zappa, Jim Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Eric Burdon, David Byrne, Alice Cooper, David Crosby, Cass Elliot, Glen Frey, Jimi Hendrix, Anthony Kiedis, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzerek, Brian Wilson and Neil Young. Our favorite places to shop are Melrose Avenue (between San Vicente and La Brea Avenue), Robertson Boulevard (between Beverly Boulevard and Third Street), Sunset Plaza (Sunset Boulevard at Sunset Plaza) The Grove (189 The Grove Drive), Hollywood Boulevard and Santa Monica Pier at Third Street Promenade.
In Memory:
Jim Morrison's residence 8216 Norton Avenue is the address listed on his death report; not his address in Paris.
Highland Gardens Hotel 7047 Franklin Avenue is where Janis Joplin died.

George Harrison was cremated at Hollywood Forever and his family scattered his ashes in the Ganges River in India. His family statement read: "He left this world as he lived in it, conscious of God, fearless of death, and at peace, surrounded by family and friends. He often said, Everything else can wait but the search for God cannot wait, and love one another."
