Whisky A Go Go - 8901 West Sunset Boulevard
http://www.whiskyagogo.com/whiskysite/home_fs.html Alice Cooper, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Ramones, The Runaways, and Van Halen played here and the Doors where the house band.  Motley Crue wrote a song we love called "Down at the Whisky".

The Rainbow is Legendary.  If you've never been there you must go and check out the cool memorabilia on desplay and you have to try the pizza! it's the best!

The Roxy (Theatre) 9009 West Sunset Boulevard at East Doheny Street http://theroxyonsunset.com/
Another popular live venue (Guns N Roses, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc...)  Opened in 1973, The Roxy is located next to the Rainbox Bar and Grill.  We saw Steel Panther play here (then called Metal Skool in 2004).  Lori saw Pretty Boy Floyd and Tryx play here in 1989.  Upstairs there is a little after-hours hang out called On The Rocks which was home to many famous parties.  John Belushi partied here the night he OD'd.

Barney's Beanery - 8447 Santa Monica Boulevard http://www.barneysbeanery.com/ is where Janis Joplin left her vehicle in the parking lot the night she died, Jim Morrison frequented. Some of the scenes from “The Doors’ were shot here.
Serves a great variety of food at great prices. We always make it a point to eat here at least once every trip!

Located across the street from the Guitar Centre! Awesome Mexican food (great combination plates) and yummy Margaritas!!! We LOVE it here!

Dennys on Sunset – Rock N Roll Denny’s - 7373 Sunset Boulevard
This place was always packed when the bars closed down! Had a lot of great times at Rock n Roll Dennys!

Hard Rock Cafe - 6801 Hollywood Boulevard is right by the Hollywood sign!

Located across the street from the Hyatt - this is our favorite hotel to stay at in Hollywood!  They have awesome suites with jacuzzi tubs etc.. for reasonable prices

Sunset Marquis Hotel - 1200 Alta Loma is known for a hangout for rock musicians

Mondrian Hotel - 8440 Sunset Boulevard is also popular with the rock crowd

Hollywood Walk of Fame – The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a series of sidewalks along either side of a 15-block segment of Hollywood Boulevard and a 3-block segment of Vine Street
Stars for The Beatles, Kiss, Motley Crue & a great many others for Motion Pictures, Television, Recording, Radio and Theater.

Laurel Canyon-
The neighbourhood of Laurel Canyon has been home to L.A.'s top rock musicians and bands, including The Byrds, Frank Zappa, Jim Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Eric Burdon, David Byrne, Alice Cooper, David Crosby, Cass Elliot, Glen Frey, Jimi Hendrix, Anthony Kiedis, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzerek, Brian Wilson and Neil Young. Shopping:

Our favorite places to shop are Melrose Avenue (between San Vicente and La Brea Avenue), Robertson Boulevard (between Beverly Boulevard and Third Street), Sunset Plaza (Sunset Boulevard at Sunset Plaza) The Grove (189 The Grove Drive), Hollywood Boulevard and Santa Monica Pier at Third Street Promenade.

In Memory:

Jim Morrison's residence 8216 Norton Avenue is the address listed on his death report; not his address in Paris.

Highland Gardens Hotel 7047 Franklin Avenue is where Janis Joplin died.

Johnny Ramone - Hollywood Forever Cemetary Section 8 Lot 2067, Space 1

George Harrison was cremated at Hollywood Forever and his family scattered his ashes in the Ganges River in India. His family statement read: "He left this world as he lived in it, conscious of God, fearless of death, and at peace, surrounded by family and friends. He often said, Everything else can wait but the search for God cannot wait, and love one another."
