Beatlemania in Liverpool

We experienced Beatlemania in Liverpool!

We went to the childhood homes of the Beatles.  John Lennon lived at 251 Menlove Avenue. Paul McCartney lived at 20 Forthlin Road. George Harrison lived at 4 Macket's Lane. Ringo Starr lived at 10 Admiral Grove.

We went to Strawberry Fields. It is a Salvation Army Children's Home. It is located on Beaconsfield Road about a block up from its intersection is Menlove Avenue where John Lennon grew up.

The Casbah Coffee Club - 8 Hayman's Green is where the Beatles played their first shows.

We stopped for some wine at Penny Lane Wine Bar at 116-118 Penny Lane. Across the street was the church where Paul was the choir boy at.

We went to Mathew Street to see the birthplace of the Beatles. We went to the Grapes where the Beatles used to drink because the Cavern was not allowed to sell it. We went to Rubber Soul and of course the Cavern Club. http://www.cavernclub.org/. It was surreal to see a John Lennon impersonator there in the afternoon. Also under the Beatles Street sign is where Erics Club used to be where bands like The Clash, Ramones and Sex Pistols played.

The Beatles Story in the Albert Dock is amazing it captures everything about the fab four!  http://www.beatlesstory.com/

In Memory

Brian Epstein, the Beatles' manager, is buried in the Liverpool Kirkdale Jewish Cemetery.

Eleanor Rigby’s grave is at the St. Peter's Parish Church, it is across the street from the St. Peter’s church hall when John and Paul met and where The Quarrymen frequently played.
